HEPATITIS AMONG AMERICAN MILITARY VETERANS
The Veteran's Administration is now involved in the study of Hepatitis B and C in VA hospitals around the country. Patients in VA hospitals have as much as a ten-fold higher prevalence of the HCV virus than the general population. HCV, in particular is very resistant to treatment and researchers expect that the number of annual deaths resulting from Hepatitis C to increase in coming years.
A private stie that is offering a guide for veterans suffering from Hepatitis B and C can be found at http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/Bunker/2704/ This site has been set up to help Veterans and Active Duty Personnel who suffer from Hepatitis C.
